The Montofoli Estate is located at the Ancient Town of Karystos, in South Evia: this is where, among other sites, is the Byzantine Temple of Saint Marcus. In its atrium courtyard, the concerts of the Festival are held.
Since 1987, the Estate also functions as a vineyard, ensconced in the Aegean tradition. Four indigenous grape varieties were planted; varieties that are renowned for the exceptional dessert wine they yield. The "Montofoli Estate" is the only dessert wine produced exclusively from grapes cultivated in the estate.
The Montofoli Estate is open to the public from the 1st of June to the end of September for guided tours and wine tasting, every Saturday at 7pm as well as on other days upon request.
