In his second album "The Invasion Parade", the pianist Alfredo Rodriguez, who was revealed by Quincy Jones, explores his memories from Cuba. This colourful album is supported by many prestigious guests: the bass player Esperanza Spalding, the Puerto Ricain drummer Henry Cole and the Bulgarian bass player Peter Slavor. The repertoire is composed of Rodriguez' original compositions as well as classic songs such as Guantanamera, Veinte Anos or Quizas. "The invasion that I talk about in "The Invasion Parade" is peaceful, reveals the pianist. It's the traditional celebration which commemorates each year the end of the Independence war at Santiago. Everyone invades the street and takes part in this parade by dancing and playing every possible instruments. I wanted to add a personal touch by adding to Cuban music sounds coming from elsewhere. I'm inviting you to a feast!". Alfredo Rodriguez has already graced the most prestigious stages all over the world touring with Quincy Jones's productions.
