The 3rd Saronic Chamber Music Festival will see the return of the Leondari Ensemble to the Saronic Gulf for a series of six concerts from 26 July to 3 August 2013, in Methana, Hydra, Galatas, and Poros, in cooperation with the Sinfonia Piraeus and the Saronic islands newly established festival.
The programme is a selection of chamber music masterpieces written during the Greek war of Independence (1821-1832) including Mendelssohn's Quintet in A major and Octet in Eb major, Beethoven's String Quartet in F major op.135, and Schubert's Rosamunde Quartet.
The Saronic Chamber Music Festival is a unique artistic meeting with great diversity among the cultural backgrounds of both performers and audience - brought together by the universality of this great music.
