Spring Organ Series has been organized in Athens, Greece, since 2004. It presents organ concerts either solo or in combination with other instruments at St Paul's Anglican Church, founded in 1838 in the heart of Athens. Since its very beginning, more than 60 concerts have been presented, while more than 240 artists have participated, performing solo or in ensembles. Among the organists who have been invited are Johannes Geffert, Wijnand van de Pol, Michael Harris, Christopher Bowers- Broadbent, Terence Charlston, Î’jorn Andor Drage, Gunnar Idenstam, Nicolae Licaret, Nigel Alcoat, Wolfgang Kogert, Arnfinn Tobiassen, Bartosz Jakubczak, Hansjoerg Albrecht, Thomas Ospital, Karen Christianson, Zafiria Vasiliou, Christos Paraskevopoulos. More than 150 composers and 200 works have been presented, including folk, baroc and contemporary music as well as world premieres.
